The restaurant’s theme was amazing — a beautiful Arabian style that’s perfect for photos. We ordered the all-you-can-eat option for $39 per person, which included 9 plates, fresh bread, and a tea pot. Here’s what we tried: • Falafel: crunchy on the outside but had no flavour. • Shakshuka: dry and cold; the taste was just “meh”. • Labneh: good. • Hummus: good. • Foul: okay — it’s the Lebanese style, served cold. • Shankleesh: good if you like sweet-and-sour flavours; also served cold. • Manakeesh: the zaatar and cheese were good, but the meat one was terrible — rubbery with no flavour. The worst dish. • Vegetable salad: fine. • Fried Lebanese bread: good. • Tea: warm and very light.

We visited Salam by Mariana Chedid for their newly launched dinner service. Already known for its popular brunches, the dinner menu was exceptional. The Mixed Grill Board offered a perfect balance of meats, salads, dips, and freshly baked bread. We ended with the Pistachio Baklava Scroll — a standout dessert where warm baklava meets creamy pistachio ice cream, creating a flavour combination we didn’t expect but loved. Friendly service and great food — a must-try!

This restaurant is undoubtedly one of the city's best Middle Eastern breakfast spots. It was our first visit, but we will definitely be returning. The variety of authentic Lebanese dishes is impressive; they are freshly made, taste amazing, and are beautifully presented. We also tried the kunafa, which was even better than the main dishes. It was one of the best in the city, surpassing those we've tried on Sydney Road. The kunaffa was fresh, warm, and perfectly balanced without being too oily. We truly enjoyed every item on the menu and highly recommend it!

I tried few times at Salam Cafe. Love the vibes and the food is delicious. Perfect for family chilling and large groups. Must be me that I was thrilled with the ambience and coffee that, only recently I realised Salam sells food with Ham and pork. Based on the name I thought the restaurant served only halal food as stated in the google search but for my Muslim friends, this is non-halal cafe.

Absolutely incredible experience! Mum and I came and all this food was only for 2 people? Oh my gosh! The service was incredible as well, the manager is so lovely and even complimented my mum. The food was delicious, still hot and the bread was made fresh to order. I had the Lebanese black tea just was a light and floral black tea. Mum had a cappuccino which she said was great coffee, hot and frothed well. The flavours were very authentic and we cannot thank the staff enough for making us feel welcome
