Thank you Matt & Staff for the best fish and chips ever!!! Being on a cruise ship for 5 mths I needed a fix of crispy battered fish and nice chips and this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The meal served was more than I could eat. The staff and food were exceptional. The chicken burger was also extremely delicious. Thank you all for more than satisfying my craving.

Street spending time with a mate at the F1 Expo in town, we were starving and the coffee was burgers or fish n chips at HD. Well as you can see HD won out. It's been a little while since I last are here so we ordered a pack with 2x flakes, potato cakes, dim Sims, calamari and chips. Everything tasted great. My only criticism would be to reduce the amount of chips and give extra potato cakes as there was heaps of chips but apart from that, the food & service was great.

What a great feed, friendly staff and awesome food what more can I say? Lots, actually…our Fillet of Fish, Calamari & Prawns with chips and a Greek Salad was so delicious, and so fresh. As was the Salt ‘n’ Pepper Calamari which was also very tender. Everything was cooked to perfection and the pricing was good. Up until now, we’ve been getting our Fish and Chip fix from a nearby establishment (for nearly 20 years) who are currently closed for renovation. We gave Hunky Dory Fish & Chips a try tonight, and I don’t think we’ll be going back to the other place. Even the fellow customers here were friendly. Thanks 🙏

I’ve been coming to this Hunky Dory since I was a young teen and come once a week! Since then there hasn’t been a single time where I haven’t been amazed with how good the food and service is! As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with a big smile and they always check up on you to see how everything is. Even the kitchen staff are always happy and make your food with love.

Honestly, Hunky Dory is hands down the best fish and chip shop ever. The service was so fast like barely any waiting and our food was ready. Everything was super fresh, the fish was crispy on the outside and perfect inside and the chips were hot and not soggy at all. You can tell it’s cooked properly, not just rushed. The staff were chill and friendly too, which made it even better. If you want good fish and chips without waiting forever, Hunky Dory is 100% the place to go. Definitely would come back!
