Gigi’s Gelato

If you’ve been to Italy and tasted gelato the way authentic gelato should taste, then go to Gigi’s and experience the next level of authenticity!! A family owned and run business, you will see Gigi out the back making his incredible flavours from scratch. My all time favourite is his carrot cake gelato - Gigi actually bakes a whole carrot cake and adds that to the gelato!!! Every flavour - apple pie, zabaglione, baclava, Gigi will make these desserts from scratch, transforming his gelato to a level I have never tasted before. We are blessed to live so close to Gigi’s, but it is well worth a train trip to Yarraville. Gigi’s is like nothing else!!

Can only be described as the best tasting Gelato I’ve ever had! True Italian perfection from Gigi himself. It’s all about the cream, less about the sugar and ice. As it should be 🤩 The flavours are wild and every now and then there’s a new experiment that blows my mind. Best flavour so far was the Key Lime Pie.

Their gelato is always delicious and creamy. You can tell they are made with fresh natural ingredients. We don’t go to any other gelateria, this is by far the best in Melbourne. My favourite is pistachio and Zabaglione 🥰 Il miglior gelato di Melbourne , veramente buono 🫶

📍Gigi’s Gelato, Yarraville - 3.4 ⭐️ out of 5. Super cute gelato shop in Yarraville with a good variety of flavours. I had chocolate and Nutella, which were fairly flavourful and a great creaminess, but not my fav I’ve ever had. 1 scoop for $7 and 2 for $8.50, so on the pricier side I’d say. Cute interiors and lovely staff (who guessed my friend’s order). They also have a “Snail of Approval” award here, which originates from the global slow food movement focusing on high quality food, a fair return for customers and producers, and a focus on local food and culture traditions. Overall 3.4 ⭐️ out of 5.

Gigi's Gelato is one of the best gelato places we've ever visited. The gelato is incredibly light and the flavors are unique and delicious. We were particularly impressed with the variety and quality of the flavors offered, which were unlike anything we've tried before. The customer service was also excellent; the staff were friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. Overall, it's a fantastic place for a treat, and we'll definitely be back!
