Beautiful and spacious restaurant by the beach. We ordered fish and chips, crab risotto and the foccacia with the pumpkin hummus. The portion is quite big by my standards. The pumpkin hummus was amazing, flavourful and perfect with the warm and soft foccacia. Fish and chips were great, crispy yet soft on the inside, fish were fresh. Risotto was also good and creamy but a bit too salty. Very relaxing atmosphere so it is a good place to wind down on a beach day.

The food was delicious! Barramundi cooked perfectly and the skin (my favourite part) nice and crispy. The baby clams, sweet and tender. The sauce was divine...needed bread to soak it up...so went for the focaccia with no side dips to go with.
My partner had the blue swimmer crab risotto-he loved it. Thank you 😊

"Republica is my go-to whenever I have friends visiting from out of town. The views of Port Phillip Bay are stunning and the menu has something for everyone. The Fish & Chips were fresh and a massive portion, and the arancini were a hit. It gets quite busy and loud during peak times, but that’s all part of the St Kilda charm. So glad I spent my Sunday afternoon here. I got to relax while enjoying the best fish & chips I’ve ever had. I just popped in after visiting St Kilda Market, but it turned out to be a wonderful find. I can already imagine how amazing it must be in summer.

I have been going to Republica once a week for over a year now, as they are partners with the Social Volleyball event. I always get the same items from the menu: pepperoni or brisket pizza, fried chicken and chips. The beer is always cold, the service is quick and the casual vibe during summer time is what you want. I should add a mention to the salmon tartare, really good.
