You may have driven past this store and noticed a long queue. “How can a place that sells just cinnamon scrolls have that many people lining up mid afternoon?” I wondered that myself before becoming a regular in that very same queue. I’ve not yet ordered their coffee or hot chocolates though I’m sure they’ll be elite too. But the scrolls. Magnificent, ethereal, they’re a melt in your mouth cakey wonder, not like hard pastrys from elsewhere. The Cinnamon scroll is goey, buttery and magical, you can rip it apart with a cake fork as it’s soft and fluffy. And the garlic….. the limited time November garlic scroll makes me wish I could time travel and stay in November forever. The goey melty warm cheese. Words cannot describe how these scrolls make me feel. And I’m sure they’ll make you feel the same if you give em a try. The staff are surprisingly quick and the queue doesn't last long. The portions are generous. The staff are also very polite. 1200/10. I cannot recommend these mouthgasm causing scrolls enough! (Ps, I’m dyslexic so apologies if their are spelling or grammar errors)

Stunning. Easily the best cinnamon scroll in Melbourne. Period.
Pizza is good, but nothing like the original.
The original has just the right level of sweetness, beautiful pillowy texture, fantastic cream cheese flavour. Each mouthful makes you want to go back for more.
Must try. No regrets.

While heading to Springvale, I came across a surprisingly long line outside a quaint strip of shops on North Road.
My curiosity piqued when I noticed that it was for Sellby’s Scrolls. Intrigued by the frenzy, I decided to join the queue and see if the wait for cinnamon scrolls would be worth it.
To pass the time, I perused through their Instagram page. Lemon poppyseed? These folks are clearly adventurous! I felt like I had stumbled onto a hidden gem and was ready to treat myself to something special.
As I slowly moved closer to the front, the mouthwatering aroma of freshly baked goods encouraged me to keep going.
Though they had some savoury options, I couldn’t resist going for the classic cinnamon scroll. I made a mental note that if it impressed my taste buds, I would definitely come back for more...
And come back I will! The soft, freshly baked scroll was generously drizzled with sweet vanilla icing. I’m guessing it might even have been made with real vanilla beans and a hint of coconut oil. The first bite was delightfully messy and sticky, leaving me eager for a second.
While this may not be the go-to spot for brunch and I can't say whether they serve coffee, they have undoubtedly mastered the craft of baking the ideal scroll.

Coming from the States, I'm pretty picky and especially with cinnamon rolls. This place blew me out of the water! I tried the regular, oreo, and pizza. The pizza was the most surprising but they were all amazing! The bread was perfect consistency, the icing was so good and plentiful, and the flavor of the pizza one was on point! Whoever owns this place should be proud! 👏 You are doing it right!

Finally got to try this scrolls!! I lined up 5 mins before opening (07:30am) and there are definitely people lining up already. I think its worth it, the scrolls and bread ratio is perfect! Will definitely line up again for this!
