This place NEVER misses. The poached eggs are always cooked to perfection. Some of the best coffee in Melbourne. All the servers and workers here are great people, genuine and the service is second to none. Best cafe in Melbourne easily. The place has such a great vibe, quirky and homely. I love it

This place just doesn't stop delivering. The mushrooms have been cooked with love and attention, they have a perfect amount of acidity, which is mostly missed altogether at other joints. The bread was so delicious, it had sesame seeds and was buttered to perfection. Tangy Tomatoes. Crispy bacon. Great service and not forgetting good music. House of the rising sun and the eagles. Couldn't have asked for better. Keep it up guys 💪 💯

This cafe has such a lovely atmosphere!! My dad and I came for a quick breakfast, I got a chai - which while strong was still delicious, and my dad got the big breaky which looked delicious!! The noise was like a comfortable hum and there was nice music in the background.

Another great find in St Kilda for great coffee and awesome food choices. This eclectic cafe has history, charm and friendly staff. I had a haloumi and sweet potato salad that was tasty and filling, huge portion size. As a LB drinker they know how to deliver. Love the art on the walls showing local St Kilda attractions.

Galleon Café lives up to its reputation as a St Kilda institution—bustling, full of character, and serving up one of the best breakfasts in town. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, which says a lot about its popularity, but once seated, the experience was smooth and well worth it. The Coffee – Absolutely Top-Tier The coffee was exceptional, easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s clear they take their brewing seriously. Whether you go for a strong black coffee or a velvety latte, you won’t be disappointed. The Food – The Drunken Sailor Big Brekky Both Liz and I went for "The Drunken Sailor" big breakfast, and it did not disappoint. Generous portions of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, roasted mushrooms, tomatoes, sautéed spinach, and thick slices of buttered multigrain toast made for a hearty and satisfying start to the day. The eggs were creamy and cooked to perfection, and every element on the plate was fresh and full of flavor. Service & Atmosphere Despite how busy it was, the service was excellent—attentive without being overbearing. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a great experience. The café has a laid-back, retro vibe with old-school tables and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that adds to its charm. Final Verdict If you’re in St Kilda and craving a standout breakfast, Galleon Café is absolutely worth a visit. Be prepared for a wait, but once you're in, you’re in for fantastic food, amazing coffee, and great service. Would we return? 100% yes!
