I had so much fun I forgot to take pictures! Im Vietnamese myself so the bar is pretty high here. But have to say I loved every dish! The cocktails were a great addition to the night. Staffs were super friendy, cute, and enthusiatic.
Canh chua is a must try!
ps: came back for Bo Kho, which did not live up to expectation. The chinese donut was overly charred. the taste was closer the western version than a Vietnamese one.

We had an exceptional experience at Hannoi Hanna Vol 2 in Elsternwick last Saturday. From the moment we arrived, the host was excellent and very accommodating. We had a booking but we even changed tables so we could sit outside as it was a nice evening and it was handled with zero fuss.
Service throughout the night was outstanding – the staff were super helpful and genuinely caring. They checked in about dietary requirements, kept our wine glasses topped up, and clearly knew the menu offering thoughtful and spot-on recommendations.
The food was absolutely delicious and super fresh! Highlights for us were the chicken yellow curry and the sashimi rice paper rolls – both were packed with flavour and beautifully presented.
Overall, a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes, and I’m super keen to recommend this place to anyone looking for great Vietnamese food and a warm, professional service. 10 out of 10!

Love Hanoi Hannah! Definitely back way too often! The food here is sooo good and the service is great. Usually you need to make a booking for dinner, but lunch is pretty easy to get a table. I love the vermicelli bowls, phos and chicken bows. But honestly everything here is good!

This used to be my wife’s favourite restaurant and a birthday staple. We went there last week and we were seriously underwhelmed. Restaurant half full. We sat at our table with our friends and waited over 20 minutes for a waiter to come over (which didn’t happen until one of us walked over to ask if we could order!). Drinks orders and food was done at the same time to expedite the process. Entrees arrived and were eaten, with no drinks to be seen. Eventually, we got our drinks (which consisted of a single bottle of wine). Mains arrived soon after drinks. The food is nice, but the price and portion size don’t seem to add up. To top it off, they stuffed up splitting the bill and the machine still asks if you want to leave a tip???
We have had many enjoyable nights here, but based on this underwhelming experience, we definitely won’t be rushing back.

This is my 2nd time visiting Hanoi Hannah Elsternwick. I was there with my friends on Thursday evening at 7.00pm. After fasting the whole day and the weather was getting cold and rainy I craved some hot soup hence I ordered myself a Pho with beef and just a glass of tap water. The pho was delicious however the side dish was questionable, its consists of bean sprouts not given generously like other vietnamese restaurant and the mint leaves looks questionable too almost expired?or rotten? It just doesn't look right, I didnt think much it as I hadn't eaten all day so I popped some in my pho. We ate and we paid for our meal and off we go.
The problem was at around midnight I started having diarhhea and high fever. And the next day I started having constant stomach cramp plus previous symptoms mentioned. I believed these symptoms rooted from the food and tap water I had from here as I had not consumed any other food the day I visited this restaurant and leading to the next day as well. I am feeling quiet unwell and will need to visit a doctor. Hopefully the restaurant could take some precaution in keeping their tablewares, foods and vegetables fresh & hygenic moving foward. Thank you.
