Zelda Bakery in Ripponlea is a delightful local gem! I absolutely love this charming bakery—the aroma of freshly baked goods hits you as soon as you walk by. You’ll often see people lining up when the fresh items come out, which is a testament to how good they are. The selection is fantastic, with a variety of delicious pastries and bread that's hard to resist.

We were here for a loaf of bread and croissants.. the display wasn’t so promising but we wanted to give it a try since there was a long queue on a Thursday 11am.. also a bit sad looking croissants though we tried, we didn’t have other options near by. And yeah, was disappointing. Australian croissant standard is definitely on lower side.. plus tried apple crumble danish….that was even worse.. cannot believe that they have 4.8 stars.. we haven’t tried the sourdough though we don’t expect so much. edit)) the olive boule is delicious! I guess this is not a place for pastry but bread!

Absolutely love Zelda Bakery 🥨! Everything I’ve tried has been delicious—from dark rye, walnut rye bread, and potato focaccia to the sesame ring, chocolate babka, apple hand pie, plain croissant, and potato knish. It’s always worth the wait in line, and I can’t wait to come back.

A pretty nice bakery with a wide variety of goods. I ordered the 1. Mushroom Bun - Basic filling but buttery and flaky on the outside. 2. Sweet Potato Quiche. I like sweet potato. 3. Chai and Vanilla Donut. 4. Brioche with pear. 5. Vegan Babka - Not reallyy thing. 6. Pistachio Cardamom cake - My second favourite thing and would definetly visit again for it. Soft and Moist. Everything you expect it to be. 7. Apple Pie - Top tier, loved it... but I could be a little biased as it reminded of appelflappen from when I studied in The Netherlands. 8. Fougasse - wanted to get the foccacia but they only serve those on Wednesdays. All in all definetly deserved the 15-20 min wait. Worth a visit.

Get there early because I don’t see the queues going away anytime soon. The pastries served here are incredible. The menu changes constantly so I will definitely be going back.
