This place is spotless and inviting, with beautifully presented food. The dishes were absolutely sensational. I had the ham and jalapeño escargot, and it was wrapped in some of the best croissant pastry I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Might be my new favourite french bakery. The pain Suisse was delicious and the choc almond croissant had to be the best croissant I have had in a long time. For those not looking for a sweet treat, they had a great selection of savoury options most notably being their baguettes which were so tasty. The coffee was also unexpectedly good, most bakeries the coffee is average at best but Escargot make a well balanced coffee. The staff were also excellent, cannot wait to come back.

Escargot is loved by locals since its arrival on Martin St Brighton - everything’s delicious! If you’re not a local it’s worth the trek across the Yarra for fresh, delicious French sweet and savoury pastries and breads by French bakers. Get in early for the brioche, bacon épi and croissants. Pick up a mushroom quiche and a bacon épi For a picnic in nearby Kamesburgh Gardens, or an éclair or almond croissant while you wander the street to Bungalow or the art galleries. Coffee is also good. Outdoor footpath seating is at a premium- be prepared to hover for a spare table or wander Martin St. Getting there Take the Sandringham line train from Flinders Street Station and get off 18mins later at Gardenvale. Escargot is a minutes walk from the station. Look for the vivid orange seats and follow the delicious bakery aromas!

Delicious pastries which you can take away or eat outside at the tables and watch the world go by. There's a decent selection of breads which looked amazing, great coffee and all goods are baked on site! The staff were really friendly and nice, service was speedy too. Escargot is an authentic French bakery well worth checking out.

My sister and I are visiting Melbourne from Toronto and were recommended Escargot by locals. 10/10 recommend! I like that they have a good selection of both sweet and savoury items. Everything we got was really fresh; my favourites were the mushroom quiche and the canelés. The quiche is the best quiche I have ever had. The team is also lovely. Would recommend a stop here to both locals and tourists.
