I had such a beautiful and memorable dining experience at Zero Mode in Box Hill. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and elegant, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing and enjoyable evening.
Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The seafood was incredibly fresh, especially the lobster pasta, which was rich, balanced, and full of flavour without being overwhelming. Every bite felt refined and comforting at the same time.
The service was just as impressive. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more special. You can really feel the care and passion behind what they do.
This is the kind of place that makes you slow down, enjoy the moment, and truly appreciate good food. I left feeling happy, satisfied, and already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended.

Beautifully presented dishes with amazing flavors. The steak was perfectly seared, juicy, and incredibly satisfying, paired so well with the soft bread and creamy sauce. The seafood pasta was a highlight rich, flavorful sauce with fresh prawns and a great balance of textures. Every dish looked stunning and tasted even better. Highly recommended!

A short walk from Box Hill Central, this cozy restaurant was a pleasant surprise in terms of quality.
Food-
Dishes are priced mostly within the 20-40 range, but the quality is undeniable. I ordered a Spicy Spanner Crab Spaghetti Nero for 39 AUD, and the dish was spiced at a perfect level. Tonkatsu bowl too, was excellent. If you dislike sweeter drinks, the iced matcha and iced chocolate will satisfy your palate too.

Attentive, happy to resolve queries. No complaints
Wait time-
Very reasonable, around 10 minutes on a Sunday lunch period.
Atmosphere-
Quite ambient, lots of natural light and quiet music.
All in all a fantastic place.

I absolutely love coming to Zero Mode! After a shop at Box Hill, it is so calming going into the restaurant, it's so aesthetic! It's perfect for Instagram shots! The food, service, atmosphere are always amazing and the staff are so nice and attentive. I highly recommend the Instagram viral drink section on their menu as they are so gorgeous, delicious and make great photos for your followers, family and friends. I would highly recommend! Everything is delicious and so beautifully plated!

Tried Zero Mode with friends and was pleasantly surprised. The steak rice was juicy and full of flavor, and the black squid ink pasta with lobster was perfectly cooked and not heavy at all. Nice atmosphere, great for a casual dinner. Would definitely come back.
