Usually their Chicken Biriyani was good as they are selling by $10. We were regular here for couple of weeks. But today Very disappointed with the food and service. The daal was bland and tasted off, not fresh at all. When I asked the staff to change it, they didn’t respond properly and just ignored my request.

I’ve been living in Greater Dandenong, Victoria, for over 20 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never come across such tasty, exotic-flavoured biryani anywhere in Australia—or even overseas. The best biryani at the most reasonable rates can be found at Al Rahman (Pakistani cuisine) in Greater Dandenong.
The prices are unbelievable—just $10 for chicken biryani and $15 for lamb biryani—and the quality is outstanding. I tried the takeaway lamb biryani, and it was the most delicious and flavourful I’ve ever had. Honestly, one plate is more than enough for two people, with generous portions of meat and perfectly cooked rice.
They also serve the best fish in town, although I found the other curries less impressive. The place is mainly set up for takeaway, with very limited seating available. Service can be a little slow, so I’d recommend calling ahead to place your order rather than waiting.
The biryani is freshly made, with the spice level perfectly balanced—not too strong, but full of flavour. I highly recommend anyone to visit this place and try the lamb biryani. You won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant is one of my favorites in Melbourne. I bought two biryani plates. One for myself and one for my neighbor. He lost his car in an accident. I hope he will feel some relief tonight. This restaurant is a good solution. If you are busy or don't want to cook, then take away quality food at affordable prices. The restaurant staff are respectful and generous. I always remember to say thanks to God every time I eat food.

Oh man... OH MANNNN.. no words.. you gotta try them to understand what I mean.
The food, the flavors, the variety, the quick service, the serve sizes and the PRICE.... Trust me, I am not sure if they are making a lot of money with the amount they charging for the amazing food they provide with those large serves. Unless they like other prices amp them up once they get famous, so far it's unbelievable.
I mostly hate Halwa puri, but here I couldn't stop diggin in. The brain curry is something u can't miss. Almost everything we ordered was an experience on it's own.
The seating can be a congested, but still not bad. They have a ground seating arrangement too, if not already occupied.

My recent visit to Al Rahman Biryani on Lonsdale Street in Dandenong was an absolute delight! This Pakistani restaurant truly offers a memorable dining experience with its well-tuned flavors and friendly atmosphere.
I picked up some food for takeaway, and as a vegetarian, I was very happy with my meal. The channa pulao was aromatic and flavorful, with a pleasant kick of chilli that was more robust than typical Australian restaurants but certainly not overpowering. The samosas were a highlight – the filling was incredibly flavorful, and the pastry was perfectly flaky and light. The dal was also very good. While waiting for my order, I particularly enjoyed sipping on their delicious milk tea right there in the venue; it was the perfect start!
My non-vegetarian father was equally impressed with his chicken biryani, which is clearly a popular and well-loved dish here. The staff were jovial and friendly throughout our visit, contributing to the casual and comfortable atmosphere.
Although the full menu wasn't immediately displayed in the restaurant, I was able to find a comprehensive one online which was helpful for planning my order.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and will definitely be back! Al Rahman Biryani is a fantastic spot for authentic Pakistani cuisine, catering well to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian palates, whether you're dining in or taking away.
