Some of the best Sri Lankan food in Melbourne, tried so many Srilanka food places but I think I prefer New Lanka for the Variety they have and every dish or finger food has its own distinct flavour and doesnβt taste the same. Spice level is moderate and work make you cry, would highly recommend to try.

Ordered the milk rice and curry. The whole container was filled with rice and just one lousy piece of chicken. How embarrassing. For $13 and most of the container is filled without curry? Unbelievable. Will never order food from here again. What a waste of money, and the fact that whoever served up the container was okay with the portion. Ridiculous.

One of the best Sri Lankan food spots in Melbourne. After trying many Sri Lankan restaurants, New Lanka stands out for its variety and unique flavours. Each dish and finger food tastes different, which is rare to find. The spice level is well balanced and enjoyable. Definitely worth trying.
Staff member Dini provided excellent service and was very professional and pleasant.

Excellent value lunch with big portions, $17 for a dinner plate. You can choose from 3 meat (fish, beef n chicken) and approx 6 veg dishes (beans, eggplant, spinach) with complimentary pappadum. Iβm so full!

I visit this place frequently and constantly get takeaway from here. If you enjoy Sri Lankan cuisine then I highly recommend you come here. There's the option to dine in or takeaway. There's different size meal packs and I always go with the large size as can be seen in the photos I've posted up. There's also snacks, sweets and drinks. You'll either get standard meal packs or Biryani packs depending on when you visit. It's best to come at lunch time because that's when the food is constantly being turned over. I'd suggest that this place should create their own website and make sure they're visible on Instagram.
