Aiden did an exceptional job serving me and my table group, just like the first time. This was actually my second time being served by him, and both times we were really happy with the service. Even though the Dingley Hotel was pretty busy, Aiden handled everything with patience and a genuine smile, despite looking a bit stressed. Plus, he’s a good-looking fella, which was a nice bonus! Honestly, we should’ve given him a tip for all the hard work he put in. There was also a girl working alongside him who was super nice and friendly, making the whole experience even better. With service like that, I’d definitely come back again—Aiden and his teammate really made our visit something special.

The entrees were fresh and hot. Not the best selection but what they had was good. (Big group , we had a bit of everything) The pizza was average. I was really looking forward to a "wood fired" pizza (it's a gas oven) but the pizza had texture/ taste of a regular oven baked pizza. I don't think they are running the oven hot enough. I was told that the parma was good.

4 of us ordered are meal but the person doing orders and needs alot of training. He screwed up the drinks and only when the other meals showed up and he left, wait a bit and where my chicken wings? He didn't ordered them and put a rush order in 25 minutes later the smallest wings box seen. I'm a Chef of 45 years been a Head chef and his excuses only hot air.

I've been to The Dingley Hotel three times, including this visit.
The first two times, I ordered the regular chicken parmigiana. This visit, I thought I’d try the BBQ chicken parmigiana.
The first visit was a fresh, hot, and tasty meal. One of the best parmas I’ve ever had. That was about six years ago.
Around two years later, four years ago, I was very disappointed, to the point that I hadn’t gone back since. I’ve forgotten exactly why, but I distinctly remember the parmigiana being lukewarm.
This time, I have a few hints as to why I wasn’t a huge fan the second time. The chicken schnitzel itself was plain and very dry. To be sure, I cut off a piece of the schnitzel corner without any sauce or toppings on it and couldn’t help but notice how bland it was. No spices, no herbs. No flavour from the chicken itself, either.
It tasted… boring, for lack of a better word. Good crisp, though.
The ham was similarly dry and barely noticeable.
The sauce tasted like MasterFoods BBQ sauce. Very sweet, but not very smoky or complex. And if it wasn’t, well, it tasted quite similar.
The cheese was also dry and not very stretchy.
I did like the jalapeños, though. A decent amount of tang, which paired well with the crispy onions. It’s just a shame the main engine itself, the schnitzel, wasn’t up to par.
The chips were lovely. Not one bad chip, all crisp, with a soft potato inside.
The salad wasn’t bad either. Not the tastiest coleslaw I’ve ever had, but it wasn’t offensive, and it wasn’t drenched in a pool of dressing.
$31 is par for the course, in line with other pubs. But unlike some pubs, I don’t think the meal matches the price in this case. Even if we’re not talking about the taste itself, this plate is missing the small details. For example, for the price, I expect a cup of sauce to accompany the chips, even if it’s just basic Heinz or MasterFoods tomato sauce.
Another small detail, but one that matters in the long run, is the type of sauce used for the parma. From a customer’s perspective, it tastes a bit overplayed and generic. It’s the type of sauce you’d use for a side, not for the parma itself, which is the main event, the “crème de la crème.” And the main event deserves something a bit more unique.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit The Dingley Hotel, but I might give it another try someday if they improve. Here’s hoping!

Although the staff were friendly and helpful, unfortunately the meals fell well below expectations. We came to celebrate two birthdays but sadly the majority of us didn’t enjoy our food, with a couple of dishes barely touched. We hope this can be taken as constructive feedback as the service itself was great.
