Great place for a Saturday night dinner & drinks. We ate in the restaurant 7 of us with 1 child. Meals took ages but it was a packed house with 60 ppl booking upstairs. They were tasty but servings were small. I ended up ordering dessert to fill up. By 8.30pmish the bar right near gets busy & noisy.

We did the 3 course feed me menu. The meats were good but not anything too special. The entrees and sides were tasty. I found the tiramisu wasn't very sweet but I don't eat it a lot so I could be wrong. The sticky date pudding was delicious. The first waitress wasn't explaining what any of the dishes were and couldn't tell us when we asked. Once she called the older man over he was much more helpful.

The staff were friendly and adept, but the O'Connor Scotch Fillet left much to be desired. I ordered it rare, but it came overcooked. It tasted average. Scotch fillet steaks are $9 at Coles. You could buy six steaks from there for the price of the O'Connor. It wasn't worth it. Anyway, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and this establishment is worth experiencing—just don't expect the best steak.

My partner and I just had dinner here. I had the pork, and my partner had the burger. The description of my pork dish was that it came with “rosemary crackling” - the thing that made me pick that item. You would think that a pork dish would come with pork crackling, but no… I got something that closer reassembled a plastic packing peanut than pork crackling, with no flavour, be that of salt or rosemary (see my photo. It’s that random white puffy thing on the side of my plate). When I told the fella working there about the crackling, he told me that “no one else had ever complained before.” How rude. Thank you for invalidating my comments after I also said how nice the actual pork was. I wasn’t trying to dump on everything, just give genuine feedback about how disappointed we were. I’ve got 12+ years of hospitality experience, and I’d never say that to a customer. The burger was shockingly dry, and had no flavour… I’ve never sent food back before, but we didn’t feel right wasting the $30 we spent on that burger. It said it came with “special sauce” 😂 We opened it up to find one drop of tomato sauce. We also saw an entire heart of cos lettuce, brown bits and all, sitting in the bread. Who puts that little effort into a burger that you just chuck on an entire heart of lettuce? 🥴 When we got the redo burger it was just as dry, but this time had more tomato sauce and some pickles. They did try… but wow, what a waste of “waygu.” Ultimately, we spent $101 on a meal that left us so disappointed. Again, we aren’t the kind of people to actually say anything to the staff (because it isn’t their fault the food is bad), or send things back… but we really wished we had just sent everything back, and left. We feel ripped off, especially after seeing so many lovely photos of what the food used to look like. Side note: The women working there were lovely. Props to them.
