Highly rated.
Staff were timely, warm and attentive. Ordered the Bain de Roses cocktail and as they were waiting for an ingredient told us what was happening. It was worth waiting for. Impressed.
Choice of eats were fantastic. Also impressed that scones were warm and came out when you were ready. Have not found this at other high teas.
Silver Moon tea was a wonderful drink after all the fabulous bites.
Only question was the clotted cream with the scones. Tasted a bit too piquant, not sure if it was fresh? We should’ve questioned it but didn’t bother as very contented with everything else. Lemon curd was a nice addition.
Views from the 12th floor were wonderful. So much to see and try and identify.

⭐ Beautiful location, but disappointing service this time
This was my third time visiting, and while the location and views are still absolutely stunning, unfortunately, I won’t be returning again. One staff member (I believe the manager) seemed to be getting ahead of himself — his arrogant approach and lack of customer care really ruined what could have been another great experience.
From the moment we arrived, his attitude came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. We ordered a couple of expensive cocktails each, intending to stay for a while, but left shortly after due to the poor service. His behaviour towards staff was also uncomfortable to witness — we saw him speak to a team member about the roster in a degrading and disrespectful way.
The drinks were placed on the table abruptly, without a smile or courtesy, and one cocktail was even served without a straw. Such a shame, because it’s a beautiful venue with so much potential — but overpriced and an arrogant approach have put us off coming back.

Just had the loveliest high tea at Altus. I had the Mad Hatter’s High Tea with my young daughter and we had a great time. Kimi who attended to us was just wonderful. Beautiful views, food was great with the right balance of sweet and savoury! The Bain de Roses Spark cocktail was incredible and was fragranced liked a perfume but so delicate and sweet. Perfect spot for a mummy daughter date.

Came here for high tea with a couple of team members and it was great. Bring a big group we got our own area to sit in.
Food was a good balance between savoury and sweet. Pick of the bunch would be the brioche roll.
The views 🪟 are ok, you mostly will see either the SE suburbs and the top of Chadstone or on the other side, Bayside and some views of the city. Not the prettiest but maybe better at night.
Personally I feel the service could have been better, more attentive (eg. Don't have to call them over etc).
Anyway, still a good place to try if you like high tea!
Oh and the chips here are deliciously great.

A most enjoyable high tea experience at the Altus rooftop lounge and bar area, part of Hotel Chadstone.
Food was tasty and well presented, staff service was professional and the rooms decor & atmosphere was lovely.
I loved the room's feature art piece made of upside down glasses( looked like a huge chandelier) and the floor to ceiling windows that let in light and gave a great view. Sadly it was overcast and rainy when we attended, but it will be nice to come back in summer months to enjoy the outside fresco area and clear sky views.
Was able to cater for all food intolerances- our group had gluten free, vegetarian, low Foodmaps, no seafood amongst our 'standard' orders.
We would have loved to see a few higher/ bigger tables, as it was a bit squashy and difficult eating off such low coffee tables.
Gluten Free
Vegetarian
