One of the better GYGs in and around CBD. Clean environment, good music, professional service and responsive staff.
Plus the comfy seats!
Honestly I would recommend this over any other outlet of GYG in the city.

If I had an avocado allergy… I thought regular burrito orders don’t come with avocado which I absolutely hate the taste and this has ruined the rest of the food.

It is upsetting to say that this GYG brunswick branch is absolutely disappointing. I want to like it because its very convenient for me + i love gyg in general but the service and the food here are 80% of the time not up to par. With the inserted photo, that is just one of the many times I’ve received a burrito like that. For context, this was delivered, this is a normal regular sized burrito. With just rice, ground beef mild, tomatillo sauce. Yes its a very plain burrito, im picky. But the substitute the removed ingredients with MORE rice? Idk this is crazy. $17.50 btw. This was a delivery so maybe they thought they could get away with being stingy with servings? I dont know.
Sure there will be days where maybe the fries are cold, wrap is cold, whatever it is, I cant expect it to be perfect all the time (although it should but🤷♀️).
However, to constantly n receive my burrito with a HARD, cold wrap, filled with mainly rice to the point where is soooooooo obvious that something isnt right along with my fries either overfilled in the bag, whichyay who wouldnt want, or to receive fries not even halfway filled is concerning to say the least. Not to mention, whenever I eat in the restaurant, the vibe and atmosphere of the staff, non existent. Im not someone who expects much from staff who usually get paid bare minimum but its also not wrong as a customer to expect an easy smooth process of ordering and not to make me feel like I’m forcing them to be here against their will. This doesn’t go for all staff working there obviously, but I’d say about 80% of them.
Anyways, i’d honestly avoid this place like the plague because half the time you dont know what type of quality food you’ll be getting, guess it depends on the workers mood seems like it.

I’m really sorry to have to write this but my burrito was horrible tonight. Raw onion all through it, dripping with water, hardly any beans and overfilled with rice. Some of it was warm some was cold. It’s a shame because I usually always buy from this store and it’s decent but my last 2 night time uber eats orders have been REALLY almost inedible :/ sorry for the bad review as i do love guzman (ADDED PICS OF BOTH THE LADT 2 BURRITOS).
