I am a regular customer and have always had a great experience here. The coffee is amazing and the staff are usually wonderful. In fact, my husband and I love it so much that we often drive 30 minutes after work just to have Tico’s coffee.
Unfortunately, today’s experience was very disappointing. There were two staff members on duty, and my coffee order was made incorrectly. I have a caffeine intolerance and specifically requested a decaf, half-strength coffee, however it was not decaf. I drove back to the café to let them know.
When I raised the issue, one staff member insisted that I had not asked for half strength. I explained that as a regular customer, I always order the same. She then called her colleague over and the situation became uncomfortable. The staff member spoke very rudely and dismissively. When I said I wouldn’t be drinking the coffee and that they could take it back, I was told, “I don’t need it, you can take it,” which felt very insulting.
I was quite upset by the tone and lack of courtesy, as this is not the level of service I have come to expect from a place I genuinely love and support.

Café Tikos is amazing ,.One of the best cafés around, and the prices are great too. Big thanks to Camila, she’s such a lovely person and makes fantastic coffee.

Great morning operating hours that you don’t find often in the area. The coffees are great and pretty quick, staff are friendly and food is fresh. Overall, the coffee prices are also very reasonable . A great range of frappes in time for the summer.

Tico’s is always worth the stop!
The service is friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they care about their customers. The drive-through line can get a little long at times, but that just shows how popular they are.
The wait is worth it because the coffee is consistently hot and delicious, and the doughnuts are always fresh and tasty.
A great local spot for a quick pick-me-up or a sweet treat!

We’re regulars at Tico’s and usually love the place—we come at least twice a week. But unfortunately, today’s experience was disappointing. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and was served what tasted like a glass of milk with vanilla flavoring. I came back to have it replaced, but the second one was exactly the same. I tried to explain that a milkshake should be thick and creamy, but was told that’s just how they make them there.
I appreciate that the drink was refunded, but it’s a shame because I really enjoy everything else. I wouldn’t order a milkshake there again, and it’s made me reconsider coming back in the afternoons. I ended up getting one from McDonald’s—and that is what a milkshake should be. Just a suggestion: it might be worth improving the milkshake recipe to match expectations.
