Came here on a weekend and ordered the mega tasting plate. The platter includes beef brisket, pulled pork, BBQ pork ribs, spicy sausage, fries, slaw and dill pickles which comfortably feeds two people. The meats were tender, not that juicy on its own but the sauces makes up for it. The fatty parts of the brisket was very good, spicy sausage has a nice savoury and spicy flavour which packs quite a bit of heat. The pulled pork was very lean and plain which was my least favourite out of the meats. Highlight was the BBQ pork ribs which falls off the bone and the BBQ glaze has just the right amount of sweetness. As for the sides, the fries were crispy and nicely seasoned; and the slaw was fresh and crisp, the creamy mustard sauce on the slaw was tasty but just a bit too vinegary. Their main homemade sauces includes the sweet BBQ sauce, the tangy Carolina sauce, and chilli jam, but they also have other self serve hot sauces and condiments. Overall a pretty good American BBQ eatery with an interesting and fun retro décor and friendly staffs.

I passed here for lunch on a gloomy Saturday, although the place is an outdoor street food style in a little remote industrial area basically only reachable by car, it was quite pleasant as tables surrounded by very hot giant smokers. They also games and you can play pool; it s very appropriate for large groups. We tried their one of their mega meat platters, generous portions and delicious meats with great range of sauces, and a small side of salad. I really enjoyed it and it was overall a good deal, although unfortunately they don’t serve beers / alcohol (but they mention you can pay to byob on weekends nights).

I wouldn’t come back for the food but I’d come back because it’s a cool atmosphere and vibe. The fatty bit of the brisket was nice but the rest was a bit dry. The pork was insanely dry….just not enjoyable to eat whatsoever. The sauces had way too much sugar. The spicy sausage was nice though, we ended up buying an extra one because we were still hungry. It was frustrating to have so much of the plate taken up by chips since we try to avoid eating them. I’ve eaten a at a lot of bbq places in Melb recently and it’s not the worst but def not the best. Probably sits somewhere in the middle. I think if they fixed the dryness of the meat it would be so much better.

Came here excited for some proper BBQ ribs, but left pretty disappointed for the price. Paid $28 for a half-rack of pork ribs + the fries which were crisp and seasoned well so no complaints there. The ribs themselves looked the part: nice color, shiny glaze, and the flavor of the sauce and smoke was genuinely tasty. Problem is, the first two ribs (and honestly a 1 more) were almost completely meatless—just bone with a bit of sauce on top. When you’re charging $28, I expect every rib to have a respectable amount of meat that actually comes off the bone, not a couple of “bonus bones” in the rack. Portion-to-price ratio just felt off. Service was friendly and quick, atmosphere is cool, but at these prices the kitchen really needs to be more consistent with the meat yield. I wanted to love it, but I walked away feeling ripped off on the main event (the ribs). Happy to try again if they tighten things up, because the potential is there.
