We’ve ordered pick-up and delivery from GYG Croydon for a long time, but after tonight we won’t be ordering again.
We ordered a veggie bowl with no onion and no mushrooms. The first order arrived completely incorrect, it was a ground beef bowl. We complained through the app and the only compensation offered was $1.34, which felt dismissive given the mistake.
The replacement order then arrived as a veggie bowl completely full of mushrooms, despite clearly requesting no mushrooms. This was extremely disappointing, especially after already having an incorrect order.
Unfortunately, this experience has completely put us off ordering from this location again.

star – Extremely Disappointing Late-Night Order
Ordered quesadillas and enchiladas around 10:15pm, hoping for a hot, satisfying Mexican fix after a long day. What arrived was far from it.
The quesadilla shell was completely soft and soggy – no crunch whatsoever – with a filling that was cold in the center. The enchiladas were even worse: the outer tortillas felt rubbery and chewy, like they’d been sitting out for hours, and again, the inside was cold. The rice was cold and the ground beef was lukewarm. It really tasted like everything had been pre-cooked earlier in the shift and just quickly assembled (or reheated poorly) when the order came in.
I get that GYG is fast food and late-night orders might be trickier, especially at a 24 hour outlet, but for nearly $40 spent on just these two items plus coke & chips, I expected way better. Freshly grilled, hot food shouldn’t be too much to ask at those prices. Sadly, this felt overpriced and underwhelming – won’t be rushing back for a late-night craving anytime soon.

I’ve been to GYG Croydon multiple times now, and it’s consistently solid. The portions are generous – definitely great value for money – and the flavour and presentation are always on point. You can tell there’s care put into each order, and the consistency across visits is impressive.
One thing to note is that the chips can be a bit hit-or-miss. They’re often undercooked and a little too oily, so it’d be great if that could be improved. That said, everything else more than makes up for it. A very reliable spot overall – definitely worth a visit!

We ordered on the app and picked up our food through drive through. We then got home and it was completely wrong, they added onions and tomato when they shouldn’t be there in the first place, and my partner is allergic. We have been calling the support phone three times and no answer to get our refund. Now we cannot eat our food and wasted our money. Chips also came cold and unseasoned. This either is a bad branch of gyg, or just had a bad team on at the time.
this was on the 9th of September, around 3pm.

Had the Beef Brisket Burrito Medium Meal. Definitely enough food and very flavourfull. I loved the beans and the Beef inside. Burrito comes with rice inside as well, which is not quite my taste but I saw you can remove some ingredients when placing your order on the app, so I'm very excited to try the Buritto again taking more note of that.
Ordered on the app and picked up at Drive Through. Was smooth and easy and very quick!
