Absolutely disgusting and beyond disappointing. I ordered a bowl that was supposed to come with pico, guacamole, and all the usual toppings, but what I got was basically just plain chicken and rice. That’s it. No flavor, no effort, nothing like what I paid for. I was really looking forward to this meal, and it ended up being such a letdown. For the price, it’s not worth it at all. SAVE YOUR MONEY, GUYS total waste

I’ve almost always had a bad experience with this gyg. Meals made wrong, stuffed up orders.. But when it comes to raw chicken, that’s where I draw the line. Unfortunately I’ve had to contact the department of health, who have confirmed that the chicken should not be that pink. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially coming from such a well-known franchise. Do better…

I come here all the time, never really stuff up my orders at all, but today was bad. It was $50 for what I got and this is what my tacos look like :( please do better.

I order GYG quite regularly and have found the food and service to the be the best out of the 3 I have tried - I tried Cranbourne GYG and was disappointed, tried Pakenham and was appalled.
The staff are lovely and the food is usually very good - sometimes during busy periods there can be wait times. I make special request orders via the app and 99% of the time they do them correctly. My favourite franchise GYG to go to by far!

I am beyond appalled by my experience at GYG Carrum Downs. Not only was the food below expectations, but the entire atmosphere was unprofessional and disgusting.
I ordered a bowl with rice and cheese for around $7, and when I looked at it after I left, I noticed it was barely filled. I asked Amber, one of the employees, if that was something they could do differently, and instead of offering help, she laughed at me while talking to her manager! It was so uncalled for and humiliating. I was just trying to make a simple request for my mother, who has strict dietary restrictions due to stomach issues, and was met with mockery.
The situation was made even worse by the state of the dining area. The tables were filthy, with cut-up tomato and other unidentifiable food scraps scattered everywhere. It felt like the place hadn’t been cleaned in days. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, my tacos had HAIR on them. How is that acceptable at any restaurant?
I’ll be escalating this situation to the head office in Surry Hills. No customer should ever be treated this way, nor should they be subjected to such poor hygiene. This experience was not just disappointing it was downright disgusting.
