Firstly, this half slice of cheese is a joke and even that’s stuck to the box a lot of the time. Mill Park is a hit or a miss, just like every other Macca’s I’ve ever visited in Melbourne since the 1980’s. I did find the wait times at the drive thru excessively long at MP, on too many occasions, over a 2.5 year period when I visited this restaurant more frequently, compared to any other Macca’s. All Macca’s stores NB: Stop the deconstruction of our burgers, it’s extremely difficult to eat like that and to peel the HALF slice of cheese that should be in my burger, off the cardboard box. You’re stingy with the tartare sauce! Put sufficient sauce in, so the burger isn’t dry. Too often I end up with just fish patties in a bun! Stop charging me for a sauce and then not give it to me. This happens too frequently and is also unacceptable! When I order a large fries, I want a large fries, not a medium size fries in a large fries box, same as when I order a medium, do not give me a small size in a medium box, or a small fries that is only half full! I have been observing these revolting practices for decades. You owe me sooooooo many fries from over the years! And cheese, tartare sauce and so much more! Stop ripping off your customers! Stop shorting them of items and/or giving them incorrect items. ———————————————————————— I think it depends on whose working on any given shift as far as competency, skill, speed and work ethics are concerned, however it doesn’t go unnoticed that often times these kids are under the pump big time and can’t always cope with the load and nor should they have to. McDonald’s should ensure they hire sufficient staff so that customers aren’t waiting anywhere between 10-30 minutes for their “fast food”. It’s unacceptable. There have been times I’ve been stuck in the queue of cars in the drive thru, for way too long and just want to leave, not wait any longer but you can’t, you’re trapped for another 10 minutes. It’s ridiculous. Hire more staff! FyI- here’s a pic of a (deconstructed?) Fillet-O-Fish I received April 2024, that I found a pic of in my phone. Get your act together McDonald’s!

I always enjoy Maccas breakfasts. But today, no. My burger was put together so badly the box wouldn’t close, our coffee orders mixed up and sugar added to the wrong cup. I’d rather wait an extra minute just to have my order done right instead of fast. Then to top things off no napkins in the bag.

Can’t even get a simple order right in drive thru. Ordered 2 small cheeseburger meals, didn’t bother checking the bag before leaving as it was such a basic order. Get home. One fries missing, the other is barely half full. Go back. Walk in and ask for the manager who ends up being the young kid I asked. Tell him what happened. Zero customer service, zero facial expression, zero apology for getting it wrong. Asked for fresh meals and proceeded to wait a ridiculous amount of time for it. @mcdonaldsau prices have gone up but service has gone down down down. Employ people who actually give a shit cos the staff here don’t.

What a disappointing turnaround. Just a few months ago, I gave this restaurant a glowing five-star review. Now, unfortunately, I can only give it one star—and even that feels generous. If you're considering stopping by, my advice is simple: just keep driving. The morning shift is where everything starts to fall apart. The staffing levels are abysmal. There simply aren’t enough employees to handle the basic demands of the operation. The person taking orders is also preparing food, and the cleaner—though doing an admirable job—is stepping in to assist. It’s clear the restaurant is both understaffed and inadequately trained, and it shows in every aspect of the service. I won’t even begin to critique the food, because the issues start even earlier—with the coffee. It’s shocking that the staff doesn’t seem to understand the difference between a flat white and a latte. They’re not the same, and customers should not have to explain the basics. Then there’s the issue of sugar: it should be added as requested and stirred. Instead, it feels like a performance, pretending to add sugar without actually doing it. Once trust is broken like that, it's very hard to get back. Consistency in food prep is nonexistent. You never know what you’re going to receive from one visit to the next. It’s incredibly frustrating. The only positive I can mention is the cleaner, who clearly takes pride in their work and keeps the place spotless. But everything else seems to be in decline—likely due to poor management, cost-cutting, and a lack of proper training. A real shame.
