Incredible. Highly recommend. The food is amazing. Possibly even beyond amazing. The staff are some of the loveliest, most energetic people I've ever met. What a gorgeous place. Give them all a raise or a paid vacation. They deserve it.

What a great new restaurant addition to an area of Melbourne seriously lacking in good food. SO glad that my friend drove past and spotted it - and that we chose to eat there tonight.
The food was fantastic - amazing flavours, really high end Lebanese menu. If you like Teta Mona, Bar Bouni is its classy older sister. We started with the flatbread (like a flavour party in my mouth) - lighy cushiony bread with zaatar, labne and delicious fresh mint leaves, coriander and honey. Drool.
Next we had lamb and pine nut enpanadas, with a super fresh tahini yoghurt on the side.
For mains, a half harissa chicken with incredible coriander sauce (3 sauce options, but we went the coriander). The chicken was juicy and the skin super crispy and delicious. For sides we chose a fattoush salad which was fresh and zingy, with a mix of cherry and big tomatoes, and the crispiest fried bread that we got to crackle over it ourselves, and separate to that an asparagus, broad bean and pea side which was again perfectly dressed, fresh and delicious.
Wine menu was excellent and well priced. Over all, our meal was around $65 each with wine, sparkling water and more than enough food for the 2 of us. We were able to take home a full meal for my friend’s partner at home.
The setting is gorgeous, really tastefully designed and with a bit of personality (ceiling in the lower level 🙌🙌) and the music was great. An unassuming restaurant from outside, but worth visiting. Especially great location for a meal before a show at the Malthouse, Recital Centre/Southbank theatre, all a close walking distance.
Seriously good. 👏

Love this new addition to Southbank. It’s a bit off the beaten path but worth venturing to for really delicious Lebanese fare and a pleasant ambiance. The crispy, salty fried whitebait were a highlight, enhanced with a side of tahini for dipping. The lamb “empanadas”, a spin on a sambousek, was also great. For a main, I’d recommend the rotisserie chicken which comes with a choice of zhoug, muhammara or tahini. Carrots and asparagus rounded things out nicely!

We really loved this new restaurant on Sturt St.
Don’t be fooled by the small downstairs section by the street, walk up the stairs to the stylish dining area, open kitchen and bar.
The food is simply delicious. The drinks menu extensive and the service first class.
There is a selection of small or large plates to share.
Happy to recommend.

Had a lovely meal at this new place on Sturt Street today. Modern Lebanese. Food was great, staff were lovely and the place had a nice vibe.
A welcome addition to the area - I hope it does well.
