⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shop 225 is nothing short of exceptional and fully deserves its reputation on the global stage. Being ranked 28th best pizza in the world is no small achievement, and after dining here, it’s easy to understand why. The pizza is outstanding — perfectly balanced, beautifully cooked, and packed with flavour in every bite. It’s world-class without being pretentious. The pasta deserves just as much praise. The linguine marinara was incredible — generous, rich, and full of fresh seafood, with a sauce that was deeply flavourful and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. It’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the plate is cleared. Beyond the food, the experience itself was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they serve. There’s a real sense of pride in every detail, from the presentation to the consistency of the dishes. Shop 225 delivers an unforgettable dining experience that comfortably stands alongside the best in the world. A must-visit for pizza lovers and anyone who appreciates exceptional Italian food. I’ll be back — and recommending it to everyone I know.

Currently ranked 28th best pizza in the world. We started with the cotoletta (deep-fried lion’s mane mushroom), which was the standout — well seasoned and nicely textured. We ordered four pizzas: the 2807 (rich, mushroom-forward and clearly their signature), wagyu bresaola (lighter and better balanced, our preference), Zio Pino (comforting, truffle-heavy), and Melo (ham and pineapple) for the kids — no kids menu, but this worked well.

Recently had lunch here. We were surprised on arrival to be welcomed and greeted by the shop owner, Lorenzo. He helped with recommendations for both food and wine pairing. He also chatted with us and all other tables during the lunch service. Something ive not experienced at other Pizzerias. It was a hospitable welcome. Regarding the pizza, they were amazing. The dough was well fermented and tangy, the tomatoes, bright and vibrant, toppings were plentiful, local and fresh and the cheese was incredibly generous (very uncommon with imported products). Another standout ingredient was the 'Nduja which is an in-house recipe developed with a local butcher. Exceptional! Overall this is a restaurant deserving of its accolades. Every detail of the experience from walking in, to the flour used in the pizza is rigorously considered. This pizzeria is certainly the best in Australia and one of the top globally. Grazie mille and keep up the great efforts!

Visited in Nov 2025 Ensured that I visited Australia’s newly crowned #1 pizzeria of 2025 during my recent trip to MEL. I had made a reservation and would recommend doing so as the place was quite full when we arrived. Ordered 3 pizzas (Maialina with Nduja, Ortolana, Parma) and a dessert (Ricotta Cannoli). All the pizzas were fantastic with the Maialina pizza being our favourite. The pizzas were made right in front of our eyes and served fresh. The quality of the ingredients in the pizzas were top notch. I personally found the quality of the Parma ham in the Parma pizza to se so good. Now coming to the service. We were at first served by a restaurant staff who was quite nice and took the order of our 3 pizzas. Midway through our meal we decided to order a couple of drinks and a pasta with another restaurant staff who was different from the staff who had served us first. This second guy noted & acknowledged our order, but we never got our drinks or the pasta. We waited for about 20 odd mins and came to the realisation that he had forgotten our order, as one would at least expect to have their drinks served in 20 mins. By that time we had finished our pizzas, and the staff who had served us originally came to see if we wanted anything else. We were a bit miffed by then and just ordered the cannoli for dessert which we were served promptly. When I went to pay at the end of meal, our suspicion was confirmed that the 2nd staff who took our order for the drinks and pasta never passed on the order to the kitchen or input it in their order management system. Overall, an absolute top pizzeria when it comes to quality of pizzas. But service wise, I think they need to improve a bit.

Melbourne has seriously levelled up — first coffee, now pizza! Tried SHOP225 in Pascoe Vale after seeing they ranked No.28 in the world, No.5 in Asia, and No.1 in Australia at the 50 Top Pizza World Awards, and honestly… the hype makes sense. The signature 2807 pizza was a standout — porcini mushrooms with black truffle, super fragrant and full of flavour. The December special fig & prosciutto pizza was also great, sweet and savoury without being heavy. Loved the pizza base too — not super thin, but chewy and satisfying, easy to keep eating slice after slice. The squid ink pasta was just okay (a bit too firm for my taste), desserts were fine — but for pizza alone, this place is 100% worth the drive.
