Shinjinko will serve up a tastey and respectable ramen, above average but not elite. Broth was good, made in the correct, traditional way. Karaage chicken was very good, big recommend, came with yuzu mayo. Easy chill spot for a decent Japanese meal. Recommend.

Such a solid Japanese spot — they’ve been around for 10 years, and you can really tell. That kind of longevity in Melbourne says a lot about the quality and consistency. Whenever I’m craving something quick, reliable and good value, this is the place that always comes to mind. Simple, honest Japanese comfort food done right every single time.

Very reminiscent atmosphere of a back street ramen joint in Japan, so we enjoyed that. The Signature ramen was OK, not the best I have had but it was OK. The Chashu Pork was lacking flavour. The Gyoza however were excellent, lots of flavour (plenty of garlic, yay!) and that amazing crispy lace, so good! Service was friendly and fast.

Great place and atmosphere. The food was really good and the service was fast. The only thing missing is a bit more variety on the menu, but apart from that, everything we had was tasty and well prepared. We also loved the little One Piece figures they have, they caught our attention right away and added a fun touch to the place. Would definitely come back!
